"Verification" is the process of proving that the person in the picture consents to being photographed and posted, or better yet, is the actual submitter of the link. Verification is required for every single OC participant. We care about the person in the photographs and want to make sure she is not being exploited. Please pardon the inconvenience if/when we require you to verify or ask you to improve your verification pics. We're just trying to look out for you. *We only accept verification done here in /r/GoneMild DO NOT include /r/GetVerified on your sign. That subreddit is a scam, just a way for the dude who runs it to collect nudes from unsuspecting noobies. No reputable sub will accept verification from there. How do I get verified? Firstly, We do not accept new accounts; you must have post and comment karma. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the rules of the sub, which are listed in the sidebar. It's a lot to read, but they are very important. When you're finished reading the rules, proceed... Crumple the sign up into a ball and then take your pictures with the sign uncrumpled! This creates a lot of random angles in the paper, and helps convince the mods that the sign was not photoshopped. Be prepared to be slightly inconvenienced by us. We want to make sure you're you! If we ask you to resubmit pictures, you are NOT being singled out. We do this all the time. Just read these directions carefully, and hang in there. We'll get you verified! BE NICE ABOUT IT. We know verification can be a little annoying, but we're just looking out for the people in our pictures! We don't want anyone to be exploited. If you were asked to resubmit verification, make a new sign, or anything like that, please be chill about it. Please do not flip us off in the picture, and please do not use post titles like "The asshole mods won't show my posts unless I verify, so here you go. Fuck you." We're real people over here! We're sorry you're annoyed, but if you make the process more difficult or make us hate our jobs, we're simply not going to prioritize your verification. Please do not take the picture with a potato. If you're stuck with a crappy webcam, you may be able to mitigate the issue by making sure there is TONS of light in the room from multiple sources. Your account must not exhibit spamming behaviour, (this is open to interpretation, but it usually means posting the same media in a ton of different subreddits, including ones irrelevant to the media). Send a message to SlimThick Modmail that contains at least 3 color pictures of you from different angles holding a sign that includes the following: Your exact reddit username.
